Not remotely surprising. That being said I personally subscribe to the policy that this East v West nonsense is...well...nonsense. Russia has a lot of good points to what they do and how they do it as well as bad. Same goes for the US...or the UK, or ANYONE. I think a more balanced view of the world would go a long way towards seeing things as they really are. A good staring point is watching Russian docs on military tech (jets are a great start) on youtube (usually dubbed or subbed). Doing so really opened my eyes to the kind of national sentiment that plays on both sides of the fence and helped me realize that at the end of the day its just hard working people do the best job they can and that politics is the work of politicians only. The end of the day tells me that the average Russian and Average American (et al.) should have no reason to get along no probalo.
